Shifting the Context
Shifting the Context
Your Life Situation
One of the ways that story, metaphor, and myth help uplift our awareness is by shifting the context of a life situation. When we change the context, we change our perception of the circumstances –– inherently. Viewing the glass as half-empty is radically different than viewing it as half-full, and changes our attitude significantly.
Witnessing the apparent breakdown of our social and political institutions is transformed when we view this as a necessary prelude to the emergence of a new, evolutionary manifestation.
Here is an exercise you may apply to your life :
- Consider a recent experience that troubled you, within the context of the day that it occurred. Recall your distress.
- Now consider it in the context of the entire year that contained it. Doesn’t this diminish its impact ?
- Now consider it in the context of your entire life. How important is it now, in this context ?
- We are all experiencing a Grand Cycle on Earth, composed of hundreds of lives. How important is the event in this context ?
- Ultimately, we Cycle Off the Earth to return to Source, only to undertake another Grand Cycle on another planet. How important is the event in this context ?
The Council suggest that we adopt the broadest perspective we can maintain. When we ground through the Alpha and Omega chakras, we are in touch with Eternity, even while aware of all the details of our daily, physical existence.
When living in Eternity, the simplest, most mundane of our life experiences evince a Cosmic resonance that uplifts our Spirit, making Peace and Joy our constant companions.
